Merry Christmas |
Hi Everyone
The most festive season is coming. Yes, it’s party time for celebrating Christmas with your beloved family and friends. In Australia, we love to have a poolside party for Christmas but as I don’t have a swimming pool at home. I have a simple ice cream table to keep big and small kids cool. Here are the preparations of our Christmas party 2011.
Ice Cream: I put the shop bought ice cream in a plastic tub of ice. In the meantime, I have the whirly soft serve ice cream maker to serve homemade vanilla bean ice cream. This is a hit amongst children as they can customise their ice creams with a small variety of delightful sugary toppings.
Topping Shelf: I have a kid’s storage shelf to display some toppings i.e. some assorted sprinkles, Maraschino cherries, wafer, chocolate stars etc.
Paper Cups: I found those retro gelato stripe ice cream paper cups and spoon set for this party. I can use them later on as holders for lollies, popcorn, desserts and other treats for different party.
Table Decorations: The backdrop I have handmade the paper fans. I have placed a piece of fabric acting as the central paper runner over the white table cover. On top of the ice cream table, I have some silver and pastel blue pom poms.
Food & Drink: One side of my kitchen benchtop is to accommodate food and the other side is for drinks. Guests have contributed their homemade dishes to share; so they are simply the best ever for the whole party. On top of the benchtop I have these beautiful paper lanterns I bought from the Mum and Baby’s Expo in Toowoomba last Sunday.
Christmas is the time of giving and sharing. It’s the time of loving and forgiving as well as to feel the joy and happiness of being loved and to be loved.
May this Christmas be a joyous one as you ever had. Thank you for stopping by.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Happy celebrating!
Beth xoxo
