Elmo's Birthday Card
Hi Everyone

My dearest Goddaughter - Hannah has turned 2. It was a beautiful sunny day to start with. What else could you do; except of an outing to enjoy a barbecue at a local park?
Before her big “2” arrived, baby Hannah shows she adores “Elmo” very much. As a Godmother, you granted her wishes to have her favourite character as a focal point in celebrating her birthday. I handcrafted most of what you see here; including some desserts (please visit www.cupcakesbybeth.blogspot.com)
I used the palate of red and white as an accent colour. An all-red table is just too heavy.
Birthday Card: They are so many lovely invitations or cards online. I think it’s awesome to create it on your own as Elmo’s face is easy to cut out (I used Stampin Up circle punches and Martha Stewart’s circle cutter). Then, I embellished it with some googly eyes & I love how it turned out.
Banner: As the colour of red and white were used throughout the setting, I wanted some pastel colours to soften the strong sense of the red. This banner was simple, quick and fun to make. All materials were purchased from the $2 dollars shop.
Pom Poms: As the party was held in a park, I made some pom poms for the backdrop; a burst of red above the table, creating a cheerful warmth to this birthday party. They are plenty of tutorials online. However, you can purchase the lovely feature from Ah-Tissue.
Jars, Candy Scoop, Goody Boxes: Vicky (Hannah’s beloved mum) bought these cute mini noodle boxes to give away as the thank you gift. Again, I used my Stampin Up oval punches and stamps to create the look. At the party, each children guest filled out Jaffa chocolate balls from the candy jar. You can hire our jars and scoops at a minimal cost for your own celebration.

Labels: Elmo’s face was seen throughout the setting including the labels. A place card rectangle cut out design and I attached to the table with the double sided tape underneath the card to keep it from blowing away in the park. The wordings were cut out by using the Cricut machine and “storybook” cartridge.

The party was a great success. I hope Hannah and all her guests had a good time; a day she will remember for years to come from looking at the photos (so much effort arranged by her mum and dad).
Thank you for stopping by. Happy celebrating~
Beth xoxo
