On 27th February, we celebrated my father-in-law’s 70th birthday. Both mum and dad love playing golf so I used that as the theme for the whole party. Pink and green were the colour schemes. Pink is mum’s colour, while I had organised a golf course cake from Planet Cake (it's just too much to tranport a cake by car for 927km). The two colours went off very well throughout the decorations.
Please check www.cupcakesbybeth.blogspot.com for the edible party favours and the birthday cake.
Here were the party preparations I have done. This was the first time I organised a party interstate. It was great fun but sometimes a bit challenge.
This was the handmade invite! The table centrepieces, favor boxes and the birthday cake were also inspired by it.

I ordered the personalised golf ball from a US website, http://www.golfballs.com/. The pink golf balls were placed inside pink and green boxes, on the top of the lids decorated with the pink tees and stampin up stitched ploy ribbons in blushing bride and pear pizzazz colours.
On the table, there were more pink golf balls and tees centrepieces.
There were homemade golf ball cookies as another favour for the younger guests. The handmade favour boxes to hold the cookies were created by using the “Sizzix Big Shot Pro”.
"Just wanted to compliment everyone at the Ambrosia Seafood Restaurant http://www.ambrosiaseafoodrestaurant.com.au/index.php on a great party we had. The atmosphere was nicely warming, the staff attentive, knowledgeable and personable. The wines we chose from their menu were outstanding. The whole evening was thoroughly enjoyed and the service from all floor staff was impeccable. As well, highly compliment to the chef and their kitchen staff who all worked magic with the food. Everyone helped us to create a magical night for my father in law’s 70th birthday with a wonderful dining experience."
